Watching the World Cup
Even though the American team lost I had a great time watching the game. The Stumble in had such a great atmosphere Saturday that the lose was bearable, the half priced bar didn't hurt either. I can't get my pictures to upload but I will be working on posting them.
Tomorrow will be my first walking Wednesday where I will pick a neighborhood or two to walk through and explore. I will be sharing my pictures and a brief history of the places I explore.
Until then.

I Got the Name of The Bar from Yesterday.
Its called The Dram Shop, and its a short walk from the 7th ave stop on the F train. It was a really good place with really good World Cup happy hour specials.

World Cup/Wimbledon Wednesday

One great and cheap way to watch world cup soccer is to stay home or go to a friends house and watch it on ESPN. This is especially true with games that start at 9:30 am like the US v. Algeria game this morning. Although I don't no much (see anything) about soccer I love to watch international sports especially when the US is involved. The US won and moves on to play the runner up of Group D (Ghana) saturday afternoon.
Later on my buddy (Lauren) and I went to a bar in Park Slope, Brooklyn (When I remember the name I'll post it) for the Germany v. Ghana game. Germany went on to win.
This game was followed by the longest Wimbledon match EVER! Sheesh its has been going on for two days now, I got tired just watching it. But it was something else.
Now I know that it isn't really free or cheap for that matter to go to a bar and watch a game since it is a bit rude to go to a bar and not order anything, but there are some really good deals out there for the World Cup. This place had $3 draughts including Guinness, Sam Adams, and Stella.
Good luck to the US soccer on Saturday. And hopefully someone will win the Mahut Isner match just to put the poor guys out of their misery.

Yoga in Times Square!
At the end I was sweaty and gross but felt amazing. What a site it was to see hundreds of people moving in unison confidently (sort of) while tourists snapped pictures and video of us were shown of the jumbo-tron.

Here are some of my pictures from before we started:

Hi!
Welcome to my blog! Since today is the Solstice I decided that this would be the best day to start the blog about my summer and how I'm going to try to spend as little money as possible and have a crazy good time in my hometown, New York City.
These are the tools I will be needing:
A Metrocard
My legs
Lots of waterSun block
A buddy
A good buck for train and bus rides
A Bike (for days I'm feeling adventurous)
And an open mind
I hope you keep checking back to see how my summer is going. :)
